Russell Oppenheimer was elected to be the Conservative County Councillor for the Petersfield Hangers division on 6th May 2021. He is a businessman and local campaigner who lives in Petersfield with his wife and three children. Russell spent many years working at a senior level in central Government so he has solid experience of leading public sector transformation projects and delivering improvements to services.
Russell commented: “I am delighted to have been elected for Petersfield Hangers. We are fortunate to live in a special part of the country – conserving the natural environment and preserving the special character of our villages will be central to everything I do if elected as County Councillor”.
Russell is also our Association Deputy Chairman Political. He was elected to this role in September 2023.
